I've only read the last two pages of this thread so what I say may have already been covered by other posters:
1. All the new Gallente ships need the sleek green armor of the Ishkur, not Eris Pink.
2. Tier 3 battleship hulls should have been the basis for the Marauders.
3. Giant signature radius and low HP on electronic attack ships FTL.

I think that'd be too obvious. Besides, unless there's a module that removes your ship from the overview (not counting cloaks), there is no camouflage paintjob that's actually relevant in Eve.
Anyway I'm glad the T2 battleships don't look like obvious solopwners. Do we really want a battleship with 30000 default HP and huge natural resists? A true bridge between tactical ships and capital ships would probably be something like a smaller, faster, lighter, lower HP carrier or dread that fits fewer guns (maybe a mix of large and capital turrets) or a smaller complement of fighter drones.
That 300,000ly distance is probably just a test server thing.

That would be the marauders. Or just train command ships as they are now. Those have pretty sick dps and resists.

Yeah the tier 3's definitely should have been considered for one of the new battleship class models. Oh well.
It seems a lot of people's complaints have to do with the new battleships not being out and out better (though we've yet to see their bonuses) than the ones we have now. It could be that they aren't supposed to be better, except in a specific area. Maybe the Marauder isn't supposed to be a giant HAC with wide utility in PvP and PvE. Maybe it's just meant for slowly floating through all those level 5 mission that are supposed to be getting added, slowly but surely knocking away the opposition with standard-power guns.
